Polishers Inc. – My Cinderella Hand

20

Happy Sunday! I’ve missed last two Polishers Inc. Sundays cos of the kids being sick. But now I’m back and today’s theme was “My Cinderella Hand”. So basically do what ever you want on your cinderella hand meaning your other hand you never show on camera.

For me that is my right hand. Doing nail art on my right hand wasn’t a problem really. I do that all the time. Photographing it, now that’s another story LOL Weird poses and finger positions. Sitting on the wrong side of the camera. Everything was so difficult for me. It’s not like I’ve never taken photos of my right hand, cos I have. It just felt like I haven’t. Nevertheless I got something done and the photos taken.

When I hear Cinderella I think of princesses, diamonds and pretty, girly things so that is where I decided to go with this theme.

For this manicure I used Jindie Nails Pink Stilettos, Essie Sugar Daddy on my middle finger, Moo Moo’s Signatures Diamond on my ring finger. The stamping is done with Rica Whiteout and hehe 018 stamping plate. I also added some Swarovskis. Top coat is of course Glisten & Glow HK Girl.

That’s all from me this Sunday but be sure to check out the other ladies and their cinderella hands. You can find the links below.

Lookfantastic Beauty Box – March

0

I know I said I wouldn’t post on weekends but I have so much to show you that I want to post today too. If you haven’t received your LF Beauty Box for March yet and you don’t want to see spoilers then do not scroll down.

My first impression of this box was when I picked it from the mail box that it felt very light. Cos the products were small it also looked half empty. Nevertheless products that were inside are all new to me products. I also found everything in this box very usable. I’m excited to test all of these and some of them might make it back for a review.
Nudestix Magnetic Eye Color in Gilt
This is eyeshadow pencil is a lovely shade of gold. Quick test on the hand showed that this applies oh so smoothly, is somewhat blendable and has good staying power. The color is quite metallic but I hope I can make this work for me. I liked this very much!
Lord & Berry Line/Shade Kajal & Eye Pencil Liner in black
I got Lord & Berry Silk Kajal from December’s Beauty Box and I quite liked it. I will use this and report back.

Cowshed Lippy Cow Natural Lip Balm
I did a quick test on this too. This felt thin, oily and well hydrating. Might not be enough for winter months but spring is coming anyways so I’ll definitely use this too.
Bliss Fatgirlslim
Ohh! I’m in a middle of a weight loss project so I was so excited to find this from the box. A skin firming product is exactly a product that I want to test after I get some weight off. So this will be sitting there waiting for a while but will be used to the last drop for sure.
The photo above is also a perfect example why I dislike use of the black paper shreds on packing these products *sigh* I don’t want to have to clean up a new and unused product before even using it for the first time.
Nuxe Nuxellence Detox
I was also very excited to find this one from the box. In January’s box I got Nuxe Crème Fraîche de Beauté mask and I’ve been using that regularly with good results. I have high hopes for this one.
Wet Brush Squirts
This tiny little brush is said to be perfect for detangling wet hair and it was. I used this after washing my hair and it felt so soft. There was no pulling of the hair or pain when the brush hit a tangle. I will keep using this for sure. Though this was good for my shoulder length and fine hair I don’t think it would work so great for my daughters long and thick hair. I will still test that.

Delush Polish – Orchid Situation

4

Today I have another lovely Delush Polish shade for you. This is Orchid Situation from 2014 Essence of Summer Collection. This polish is discontinued but is still available on Delush Polish store for a discounted price.

I absolutely love this color! The shade of purple goes really well with my skin tone and the green/turquoise shimmer makes this polish very unique.

Formula on this was excellent. Very easy to apply and opaque with two coats, though longer nails might need three. Dry time was super fast and no chipping in three days. Removal was also easy and there was no staining.

For this manicure I used a coat of Essie Nourish Me, a coat of Glisten & Glow Stuck On Blu!, two coats of Orchid Situation and HK Girl top coat. The square studs are from Born Pretty Store.

***Orchid Situation was purchased by me. Studs were sent for review. I don’t benefit from clicking the links on this post in any way.

LivBox – March

0

Time for another LivBox, a cosmetics subscription box only available in Finland but many products in it are usually international.

It was quite a nice box this month too. Most of the products I will definitely test and use.

I did a quick test on Bangerhead Fresh Me Up! dry shampoo and though it smelled very nice it was also a little too lightweight for my taste. It’s supposed to add volume to my hair but I can’t say I really saw or felt a difference. I will definitely give this another try later on.

Lumene Bright Now Vitamin C Shine Control Cream-Gel for face. I did a quick test on this too. Felt pretty light weight as you would expect a gel like cream to feel like. The scent was also very nice and fruity. I didn’t see a clear matte effect immediately but I will have to test this under makeup to really give my opinion on it. So review might be coming up later on.

Dove Advanced Hair Series Oxygen Moisture shampoo and conditioner came in travel size tubes. I had a moment to test these already. The shampoo is clear and gel like, lathers well and washes your hair clean. Though it left my hair feeling kinda heavy which is weird result for a product that is meant for fine and flat hair. Conditioner made my hair silky smooth and easy to comb through. After my hair was dry it was shiny and really smooth but also pretty flat. Though I love the silky feeling on my hair now I still expected a different result. I will probably use these tubes but won’t buy these again.

Best product in this box for me was Rimmel Provocalips 310 Little Minx since I love Provocalips lip colors and I didn’t have this shade yet. I will have a review for these lip colors later on.

There was also Nailfix cuticle oil (Finnish brand) which I most likely won’t use on my nails since I swear on Bliss Kiss Pure Nail Oil. This oil comes with a hygienic dropper so I might use this on my toes when I do my pedicures.

At last there was two perfume samples. Calvin Klein Reveal for men smelled absolutely divine on my husband so we’ll definitely be buying a bottle of this later on. Chloé Love Story was a floral scent and not my kind of scent at all. I gotta give that one to my mother cos it’s something she might like. I myself like my perfumes sweeter and heavier.

Sally Hansen 18K Gold Hardener

12

Today it’s time for my review of the new Sally Hansen 18K Gold Hardener. As I have previously mentioned I usually don’t use nail strengtheners cos they make my nails too hard and they start to peel and chip easier. How ever Sally Hansen Nail Rehab base coat worked so well for me that I wanted to give this one a try too.

Moo Moo’s Signatures – Diamond

8

Well my sick leave is over for now. Little man is much better though still on meds to help him breathe. I have a lot to show you and a lot of stuff coming in so I better get back to business now.

Today I have a real treat for you. Some of you might have heard of Moo Moo’s Signatures and their needle felted animals. Moo Moos are unique handcrafted creations by Mei Mei from Mei Mei’s Signatures.

Now you can also find indie nail polish created by Mei Mei from Moo Moo’s store.

This is their first polish Diamond and it’s amazing!! It’s super sparkly metallic silver holo. It’s very shiny even in dimmer light and the little pieces of silver flakies are really beautiful and sparkling even when the holo effect is not visible. In certain lighting this has almost mirror like metallic shine. This polish is just so gorgeous and definitely not just your average silver holo.

Formula was also perfect and very easy to apply. Two coats was fully opaque and dry time was normal. This stayed on my nails for three days that I wore this mani without chipping and the removal was easy. I loved it!

For this manicure I used a coat of Essie Nourish Me, a coat of Glisten & Glow Stuck On Blu!, two coats of Diamond and HK Girl top coat.

Diamond is out of stock at the moment but I have confirmed with Mei Mei that it’ll return with some new colors. For more info you should follow Moo Moo’s Signatures FB page.

Jindie Nails – Baby Love, My Baby Love

12

Hey! It’s Thursday and it means the weekend is almost here!

Today I have a new Jindie Nails polish to show you. This is Baby Love, My Baby Love, a gorgeous sheer peachy pink glitter polish in an amazing shimmer base. This one has such a glow to it and the mix of glitters is just awesome. Sheer base leaves this looking very light and delicate when worn alone and that makes it perfect for spring and summer. This one is just lovely!

Formula was on a thin side and easy to apply perfectly. Thin formula also makes this good for applying more than one or two coats and with three coats you get a lot of glow and enough glitter. I turned the bottle upside down before application and did a little bit of fishing for the biggest glitter pieces. This applied very evenly and there was no need for glitter placement. I chose to wear this alone cos I love how feminine it looks that way but you can layer this over a creme polish to have an opaque look and make the shimmer pop out even more.

This is a coat of Glisten & Glow Stuck On Blu!, three thin coats of Baby Love, My Baby Love and Rica Glossy Glam top coat.

I don’t have a release date for this polish yet so follow Jindie Nails social media accounts and keep your eyes peeled for it.

You can buy Jindie Nails polishes from JindieNails.com or from authorized distributors. You can find the latest news, releases and restock info from their FB and IG.

Sick leave

6

I got off to a good start with regular posts but I haven’t been able to get the posts ready for when life happens yet so I have to take a few days off. Our little guy has rs-virus and he is quite sick so he needs all my attention right now. I will be back when he feels better.

Rimmel Lasting Finish 25H Foundation with Comfort Serum and Lasting Finish Concealer

19

Today I’m showing you how well Rimmel Lasting Finish 25H Foundation with Comfort Serum and Lasting Finish Concealer work for me.

The photos below have not been retouched in any way other than cropping and adding the text. So with this makeup foundation, what you see is what you get on my skin. I have a dry combination skin that very easily looks dry after applying makeup. After three to four hours at the latest I usually experience the foundation running from my cheeks and especially the tip of my nose exposing the red skin. I need all kinds of primer and powdering tricks to keep my face looking good for more than three hours.

Sally Hansen Luxe Lace – Eyelet and Ruffle

4

Today I have another two Sally Hansen polishes to show you. These are white 830 Eyelet and black 840 Ruffle from the Luxe Lace Spring 2015 collection.

Both of these are one color matte hex glitter in different sizes on a clear base. Formula was good and easy to apply. There was no need to fish for the glitter and two coats gave enough coverage. I wanted to play along with the lace theme and used a nude base for these but of course you can layer these with any color you want.

These are simple and very usable glitters. I love the fact that they are matte and just one color and shape. I have quite a few black & white glitters but none in just black or white that are this basic and trust me, sometimes basic is good. If you want to add something more you can always use another glitter together with these or apply these over a gradient base. You can also apply a coat of each if you don’t have and b&w glitter. There’s a lot of different ways to use these!

Both of the polishes have a coat of Essie Beam Up and a coat of Essie Sugar Daddy as a base. Then two coats of glitter and a coat of HK Girl.

With the black Ruffle I also added a coat of OPI In True Stefani Fashion before the black glitter to show how it works with a little added sparkle.
