Lynnderella – Oh Eric…!

3

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone is having a lovely and relaxing weekend. This is another gorgeous Lynnderella polish from the new “Once Upon a Prince and More Man Candy” collection.

Here’s how Lynnderella desccribes this shade: “Oh Eric…! is a love letter to Sheriff Northman—of Area 5 in Louisiana. Red metallic with neon pink, purple and red glitters in a pink-shimmered translucent red base”.

This one is absolutely gorgeous! I wanted to maintain the passionate look this has so I layered it over red. You can achieve a cuter look by using a lighter pink base color and dark purple turns this into a bit more dramatic looking.

This is two coats of OPI Innie Minnie Mightie Bow, two coats of Oh Eric…!, a thin coat of Glitter Food and G & G HK Girl top coat.

Formula is a normal indie glitter bomb. I had no issues with the application. I applied the first coat normally and the second coat I dabbed on to avoid too much glitter piling up on each other. This has a lovely glow to it and the color goes great for fall time too. And the name, I think we already figured out I love the name  LOL

Jindie Nails – Monster’s Ink

4

Yay! Regardless of the sleepy time madness that I mention on my last post I managed to write a second review of the day :D

This is a brand new Jindie Nails shade, Monster’s Ink. It’s so new it has only been available for pre-order for now. Jindie restock is coming up soon though so keep your eyes peeled for that!

Here’s how it’s described on Jindie Nails website “It has a bright yellow/green base similar to the color of Mike from Monsters Inc.:).  It has several fun glitters in it including matte light purple dots, matte dark purple diamonds, metallic violet medium dots, lilac holo large & medium dots, teal large dots, teal hex, squares and dots, light green metallic dots, magenta large & small squares, silver dots, mauve small squares, pastel pink matte dots, white dots and diamonds, lime green holo dots and hex, matte kelly green dots and diamonds and satin matte teal hex, micro slices and just a few satin matte teal stars”.

The formula was great and application was nice and smooth. There was no need for fishing or placing the glitters. The result was so smooth that I thought about not using Glitter Food at all. The base color is quite interesting too. It’s a very yellow-ish green, almost radioactive looking. This looks like it could glow in the dark, but it doesn’t, I checked  LOLVery unique and fun looking polish! I just love Jindie Nails ♥
This will be available soon at jindienails.com! Follow the news on FB and Jindie Nails blog.

Crazy Polish Lady – Summer Love

2

Hello lovelies! It’s a lovely, sunny Saturday here in Finland and I’m going to try and get two posts up for you today. I’m a bit behind on my reviews and blogging at the moment. My year and a half old has decided that it’s a great idea to first fight going to sleep for a nap and then on night time she likes to run around till 11 pm. We put the kiddos to bed around 9 pm and she fools around till 11 *sigh*. I need to get up every two mins to take her back to bed. So it’s pretty much impossible to get anything done before she passes out and by that time I’m usually too exhausted to even think about nail polish. Oh boy, I hope this sleeptime craziness passes soon.

Either way, here’s the gorgeous Summer Love by Crazy Polish lady. This is also from the limited edition Summer Is Up collection. I have previously reviewed a couple of other shades. This one is a white crelly polish with light blue and light pink glitter.

This is three thin coats with, Glitter Food and G & G HK Girl top coat.

The formula was a bit trickier than the usual Crazy Polish Lady formula. This was a little streaky on the first coat but evened out nicely on the second and third coat. I quite love how this looks. This is a summer collection polish but to me it looks perfect for winter too. This goes great for that time when you’re tired of all the dark fall colors and colorful Holiday manicures. Sun is shining on a snowy day and suddenly you feel a need to get something fresh and bright on your nails. This is that polish. It’ll make you think of a sweet ice cream cone on a hot summer day ;)

Crazy Polish Lady lives in Portugal and she ships internationally. She doesn’t have her own store yet but you can message her on her Facebook page or email her carvalho.sophie(@)gmail.com and place an order. Some of her polishes are now also available at Mei Mei’s Signatures.

Mish Mash Challenge: Week 4 – Nail art technique I have never tried before

21

Look at me almost getting a post up in time ;D For this week I had a lot to choose from and I ended up doing drag marbling. This is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while now, this and water marbling but I’m still not brave enough to try that LOL

For this manicure I used OPI Thanks a Windmillion, Sephora by OPI Leaf Him At The Altar and China Glaze Gussied Up Green. I finished the manicure with G & G HK Girl top coat.

I’m not totally happy with the result. It looks kinda cool but I think it could look a lot cooler. I think I have to give this one another try later on. But there’s no winners or losers on our challenge and that makes it so much fun :) Good or bad, I challenged myself to try something new :)

Thank you for reading and please pay a visit to the other lovely ladies too :)

Lynnderella – AquaMan Candy

0

Here’s more Lynnderella for you from the new “Once Upon a Prince and More Man Candy” collection. This is AquaMan Candy, a stunning mix of glitter on a sheer base.

Here’s how Lynnderella describes this polish “AquaMan Candy is made with a cyan-shimmered cyan base saturated with cyan glitters with red, pink, white and green accents. Perfect for mermaids and mermen”.

This is two coats of Essie In The Cab-Ana, two coats of AquaMan Candy, a thin coat of Glitter Food and G & G HK Girl top coat.

AquaMan Candy applies perfectly. This is very packed with glitter so no fishing needed. There was also no need to place the glitter or even dab. I love the color combination on this one! Very unique and beautiful!

Try It On Tuesday: Essie – In The Cab-Ana

6

Here’s my TIOT mani for this week. This is two coats of Essie In The Cab-Ana with G & G HK Girl top coat.

This applies nice and smooth and two coats is enough for opaque result. I really like this color and it’s such a shame I let it sit there unused for almost the whole summer.

Mish Mash Challenge – Metallic

20

Ahhhh! I’m so late with this post but once again, better late than never :P So last week’s theme was metallic. Since I strongly dislike metallic finish nail polish I decided to do something that doesn’t make me want to start a huge fire and throw every metallic polish bottle in to it. I think studs and chains count as metallic, right? At least on this mani they do :P

Here’s what I did.

For this I used OPI Baby It’s “Coal” Outside with G & G HK Girl top coat. Studs and chain are from Born Pretty Store.

This is a quick and easy mani. Just do your base color and let dry. Then use glue or top coat to attach the studs on the nails and seal then in with a top coat if you want to. Little tools like dotting tool, cutters to cut the chain, small pliers etc. will be helpful.
If you have a moment go check out what all the other awesome ladies came up with!

Lynnderella – The Full Minty

4

Today I have a real treat for you! Lynnderella recently released a new collection “Once Upon a Prince and More Man Candy” and I’ll be showing you the whole awesome collection one by one!

I’ll start with The Full Minty “satin mint and white glitters accented with several shades of green—all in an intensely sparkling mint-shimmered base“.

This is two coats of China Glaze Keep Calm, Paint On, two coats of The Full Minty, thin coat of Glitter Food and G & G HK Girl top coat.

The Full Minty applies perfectly. No need to fish or place the glitters. One coat was already even enough but my glitter addiction forced me to add another one ;) The mint shimmer on the base is absolutely gorgeous. Even though this collection is a summer release, The Full Minty is a perfect color for winter too!

Jindie Nails – Eclectric

4

Happy hump day ladies and gentlemen! On this cloudy and rainy Finnish morning I’ll show a colorful glitter explosion that is made to brighten up your day, Jindie Nails Eclectric. This is part of the Mod Quad Glitter Topper collection.

Here’s what Jen has to say about this one: “There are over 100 different shapes and bright colors in translucent neon and bright, opaque (non-transparent), pastel, matte glitters.  There are neon pink stars, hex, hearts, squares, neon green stars, squares, hex and dots, neon blue stars, short bars (sparse), squares, hex, neon orange short bars (very few) and hex, neon hot orange stars, short bars, hex and dots, white hearts, stars, hex, squares and short bars (just a few). opaque matte green dots and hex, opaque pastel pink dots and hex, opaque matte light purple dots, watermelon pink dots and hex,  opaque matte pastel yellow dots and hex, opaque matte canary yellow dots and hex, dark purple hearts, stars, hex and micro fibers (tiny bars and just a few), neon purple hex,  matte opaque peach dots and hex all in a clear base with neon blue and hot pink shimmer.  Polish is meant to be layered but looks great on a bare nail, since it’s packed full of glitter.  All bar glitters in this mix are the short bars that are not as pesky as the longer bar glitters.  I did not put a lot of bar glitters, just a few, so that it wouldn’t be a problem for anyone.  The bar glitters in this one are all short fibers, not the long, pesky ones”. Insane, right? :D

For this manicure I used two coats of Essie Licorice, two coats of Eclectric, a thin coat of Glitter Food and G & G HK Girl topcoat.

Eclectric is crazy packed with glitter but the application is still surprisingly good. All the glitter came out of the bottle easily. There wasn’t much need for dabbing or placing the glitters. This applied pretty evenly. I’m actually a bit tempted to try this alone and build it opaque on its own. You can layer this over any color possible. I chose the good old black cos it really makes the glitter colors pop.

Polish Addict Nail Color – White, White Wedding

0

Hello again :) For my second post of the day I have another Polish Addict Nail Color shade for you. This is White, White Wedding, a mix of white glitter, holographic silver microglitter and iridescent rainbow microglitter on a sheer base. This one is like snow on my nails. So beautiful!! This is just perfect for a winter day or a bridal manicure :)

Formula and application was perfect. No need to fish for glitter or turn the bottle upside down. You can layer this over any color you can think of. I chose white cos I wanted to achieve a beautiful, icy look and I’m totally in love with how this turned out.
