Sally Hansen Velvet Texture – Crushed and Lush

14

Matte polishes have made a big comeback and Sally Hansen also released a collection of matte polishes. I got two shades, 610 Crushed and 630 Lush to test.

These are actually a little different than your usual matte polish. Like the name suggests these dry almost textured, concrete looking and very matte. I quite like the effect. Application was surprisingly easy. No balding or streaks. I applied two coats of Crushed but would’ve got away with just one. With Lush I was smarter and only applied one coat. Dry time for two coats wasn’t impossible and it was very quick for just one coat over Glisten & Glow Stuck On Blu! base coat.

Since these were highly pigmented and very well behaving I decided to try if they’d work for stamping too and yes they did. Since these are fast drying mattes you have to be fast but other than that they worked great. Here’s stamping design I did using a squishy XL stamper and Dream Girl 16 stamping plate.

One of my all time favorite Jindies

12

I think I got Jindie Nails Princess Breath from one of the first review packages I received from them and it has remained as one of my favorites since I first tried it two years ago.

I recently got a brand new bottle and decided to revisit this gorgeous polish. Formula was excellent! No dragging or balding, no streaks and it was opaque on two easy coats. I did turn the bottle upside down before application but I didn’t fish for any of the glitters and no glitter placement was done. What you see is what you get with normal application.

This is one coat of Glisten & Glow Stuck On Blu!, two coats of Princess Breath and Rica Glossy Glam top coat.

You can buy Jindie Nails polishes from JindieNails.com or from authorized distributors. You can find the latest news, releases and restock info from their FB and IG.

My new favorite black!

6

A good black creme polish is one of the must haves in every polish addicts collection. I already had two good ones and now I think I’ve found my favorite one yet, Glitter Gal Serpent Black.

This black is very well pigmented, a one coater if you apply a generous coat. It also evens itself out perfectly, doesn’t run to your cuticles and if you manage to make a mess it isn’t impossible to clean. This is listed as a creme but it’s so squishy and glossy that I’d say it’s a borderline crelly. Dry time was also very quick. Just a perfect black!

This is one coat of Glisten & Glow Stuck On Blu!, a coat of Serpent Black and HK Girl top coat.

Check out Glitter Gal website for more info and their store.

Delush Polish – Trendsetter

4

Happy Saturday lovelies! Quick post today as I’m trying to survive here in the sickhouse.  It’s been a week of only a couple of hours of sleep per night (if that) and I’m starting to look and feel like I’m ready to go play a part of a zombie in Walking Dead ;) Kids are still sick and the little man is so sick that I needed to take him to the doctor and now he is getting antibiotics to help him beat an ear infection and what not.

But enough of that and on to the polish :) This stunning blue-ish grey metallic shimmer is Delush Polish Trendsetter from the Nue Collection. Great formula, easy application and opaque with two coats. Hardly any visible brush strokes and very quick dry time. Perfect!

This is a coat of Essie Nourish Me, a coat of Glisten & Glow Stuck On Blu!, two coats of Trendsetter and HK Girl top coat.

Dance Legend – Android

14

Lately I’ve become a little obsessed about Dance Legend polishes so here’s another one. This is Android, a gorgeous green linear holo.

Formula was excellent and very easy to apply. This was very pigmented so it could also work for stamping. I can’t wait to wear this again on a sunny day. So pretty!

This is two coats over Glisten & Glow Stuck On Blu! base coat, no top coat.

Lacquer Lust – BBN

10

Lacquer Lust Butt Bootie Naked was a long time lemming of mine and I finally bought it from Norway Nails sale. This is a nude linear holo that looks almost like a taupe holo to me. I love taupe polishes and I love holos so naturally I loved this polish too.

Excellent formula and application. No balding at all and two easy coats gave an opaque result. I wore this for three days and there was minimal tip wear on a couple of nails and no chipping at all. Perfect!!

On this manicure I used a coat of Essie Nourish Me, two coats of BBN and HK Girl top coat.

Jindie Nails – Phone, Keys, Polish, Check! and The Blue That Holds Us Together

10

Today I have two awesome polishes by Jindie Nails. These are sister polishes Phone, Keys, Polish, Check! and The Blue That Holds Us Together.

These are really vibrant colored jelly polishes packed with glitter, microglitter, holographic glitter, and shimmer. Absolutely stunning!!!

Phone, Keys, Polish, Check! is a one coater! One generous coat was enough for an opaque result. Application was excellent and dry time was quick. This dries a little rough so I applied two coats of top coat to get a smoother result.

This is one coat of Essie Beam Me, a coat of  Phone, Keys, Polish, Check! and two coats of HK Girl top coat.

The Blue That Holds Us Together had an equally excellent formula and application. Though for this I applied two thinner coats. This was also a bit top coat hungry so again I applied two coats of top coat.

This is a coat of Essie Beam Me, two coats of The Blue That Holds Us Together and two coats of HK Girl.

Aaaahhh!! I’m so in love with these! They are even more vibrant and sparkling in real life!

Mavala Nude Colors and a dry brush manicure

6

I’ve already shown you the new Mavala Spring 2015 Nude Colors collection here and this time I used all the polishes from this collection to do a dry brush manicure.

I started by applying a coat of 112 Pink Boudoir on a coat of Essie Nourish Me. This one was pretty well behaving and one generous coat evened itself out nicely and dried fast. I really liked this powdery soft pink so I ended up wearing it alone for a day before doing to dry brush manicure.

For this dry brush design I used all the polishes on this collection. I love how matte polishes leave such nice textured look on the nail. Very quick and easy to do. This soft looking design also goes really well together with brighter spring colors.

KIKO 512

8

I bought my first KIKO polishes from the Black Friday weekend sales and after swatching all of them on the plastic tips I’m quite excited about them. I will definitely get more of these :D

This is KIKO 512. On their website it’s described as metallic rosy taupe. Rosy taupe I agree with but when it comes to nail polish metallic is a finish to me and this one is clearly a creme with very fine pink shimmer. Gorgeous color!

Formula was good. Application was very smooth and easy. This was opaque with two coats and dry time was fast. For this manicure I used a coat of Essie Nourish Me, a coat of Glisten & Glow Stuck On Blu!, two coats of KIKO 512 and HK girl top coat.
