Color Club Electro Candy – Ultra Violet

6

Then last but definately not least Ultra Violet from the Color Club Electro Candy collection. IRL this purple shade reminds me of a dark grape. Depending on the lighting the shimmer looks blue-green-turquoise. This one is a little different from the other crazy bright polishes in this collection but not in a negative way. In my opinion this one is actually elegant and all purple nail polish lovers should check this out.

As all the others from this collection, Ultra Violet was thin in the bottle, quite sheer and application was excellent. In this mani I used: Ultra Violet x3 and Seche Vite on top.

Color Club Electro Candy – Pure Energy

0

Color Club Electro Candy collection also has a gorgeous blue nail polish Pure Energy. This is a bright light-ish blue shade with a hint of green shimmer. Really fresh looking and stunning shade. All of the polishes from this collection are so gorgeous I’m having a hard time picking up a favorite one.

Pure Energy is also quite thin in the bottle and applies well. In this mani I only used 2 coats of color polish and no base or top coat. This dried pretty quickly even without top coat.

Color Club Electro Candy – Tangerine Scream

6

My Color Club Electro Candy collection swatches continue with Tangerine Scream. Bright orange shimmer polish cheers you up right away. This shade reminds me of summer and orange popsicles ;) This one is really delicious IRL. Most likely I’m gonna use this one so much during the summer that I might have to buy a backup bottle.

Tangerine Scream applies as smoothly as all the polishes from this collection. Again two coats is enough for shorter nails, longer nails might need a third one.

In this mani I used: Tangerine Scream x3 and no top coat.

Color Club Electro Candy – What a Shock!

Do I even need to write anything about this!?

Electro Candy collection’s neon-green What a Shock! is a must have for all the green nail polish lovers. Bright green with green shimmer. Blindingly stunning and unique shade! These nails will not go unnoticed.

What a Shock! applies very well and 2 – 3 coats is enough. In this mani I used only 3 coats of What a Shock! without top coat.

Again my skin tone looks really weird cos of the cam settings and Photoshopping. This was hard one to photograph but the polish shade looks quite accurate to real life in this pic.

Color Club Electro Candy – Electro Candy

7

Here’s the next treat from the new Color Club collection. This one has been named after the collection and it’s the shockingly pink Electro Candy. This is a neon pink, very bright shade with pale blue shimmer. This is about as pink as a nail polish can get!

Electro Candy is little thicker and more opaque than Volt Of Light. This also applied smooth as butter and for shorter nails two coats will be enough. If you have longer nails you might want to add a third coat.

In this mani I used: Electro Candy x3 and Seche Vite fast drying topcoat.

My skin tone looks really weird in the pic. I had to adjust the camera settings and then PhotoShop it a bit to get the bright pink shade to show on the photo. The pic still doesn’t do the shade any justice and IRL it’s much more candy pink. I do need to re-photograph this again when the sun comes out long enough.

*EDIT I added another picture. On the second pic the polish looks a little closer to what it looks like IRL.

Color Club Electro Candy – Volt Of Light

9

My beloved readers, here’s the first taste from the super-delicious Color Club Electro Candy collection. Volt Of Light is a neon yellow polish with green shimmer and flash. First thing that comes to mind when I look at this shade is a highlighter pen :D This is insanely fun shade and great thing is that it’s not tacky at all.

Volt Of Light is very thin in the bottle and applies very well. It’s quite sheer but it’s nice and smooth starting from the first coat. So you can only apply one coat for a hint of color or keep layering it to get a more neon result. Three coats is enough for “in your face” effect but you might need four coats for an fully opaque result. Seche Vite dried three coats pretty fast.

In this mani I used Volt Of Light x3 and Seche Vite on top. IRL this shade is even a bit brighter than it is in this pic.

And no, my nails didn’t experience an overnight miracle. I got tired of constant peeling and breaking and got acrylic nails. That’s also why there’s no base coat on my nails in this mani. We’ll see how long I’ll feel like keeping the acrylic nails on and decide to grow them out. But for now I feel more comfortable with these longer nails than the short ones.

OPI – Don’t Toy With Me!

4

OPI nail polish for a change ;)

As the photo shows you my nails are still short :( We’ve had pretty cold weather for a while now and I guess that has caused my nails to peel and break easily. I’ve been trying to use a lot of moisturizers and oils but those don’t seem to be making a very big difference.

Don’t Toy With Me! is a magenta micro-glitter polish from the Holiday In Toyland collection. This shade is really gorgeous and I think the micro-glitter has a bit pink-ish tone to it. This one is definately not only for Holiday season!

DTWM! was quite thin in the bottle and applied really well. Since I have short nails two coats was enough. If you have longer nails you might need three coats for fully opaque result. In this mani I used: Nail Tek II x1, Don’t Toy With Me! x2 and Seche Vite on top.

OPI – The “IT” Color

0

First of all I’m very sorry about the blog silence for the past couple of weeks. Life’s been a bit busy for me lately but I’m back now. I have a few new nail polish bottles too but I haven’t had time to swatch them or not to mention photographing. Luckily I have a few more pics that I haven’t shown you yet. I also still have long nails on those pics. At the moment my nails are actually quite short and they started peeling after breaking off. Peeling seems to have calmed down a bit so maybe I can start growing them longer again very soon.

And then to the point, which is a perfect yellow creme polish, OPI The “IT” Color. This somewhat dirty yellow shade is a perfect accessory and you can wear it around the year if you feel the color suits you. This polish is not too bright or “in your face” shade, instead it’s just perfect and unique. I saw a photo of this polish on The Polish Addict‘s blog and I just had to have it for myself too.

The “IT” Color’s application is not the easiest possible and it requires three coats for an opaque result. It dried quite fast with Poshe. In this mani I used: Nail Tek II x2, The “IT” Color x3 and Poshe on the top.

China Glaze – Bahamian Escape

6

I decided to show you yet another polish from the China Glaze Bahama Blues collection. This is the last one I own from that collection, Bahamian Escape. I love this light blue creme polish, the shade is so fresh. My first Konad order also just arrived and this color just scream for some Konading, IMO ;D

Bahamian Escape is a bit on the thick side and the application isn’t the best possible, but it’s workable. Two coats is enough for opaque result and this one dries pretty quickly. In this mani I used: Nail Tek II x1, Bahamian Escape x2 and Seche Vite on top.

My laptop is still being fixed but as far as I know it is ready and I should get it back early next week. Then I can get back to my normal posting rhythm.

This week I also experienced the horror of nail breakage :´( I broke two nails at work and I had to trim all of them short. Feels so weird. Well I still have a few swatch pics for you with the long nails and hopefully my nails grow back long soon.

China Glaze – Caribbean Blue

2

Yet another polish from the China Glaze Bahama Blues collection, Caribbean Blue. This is an interesting light blue shade with a lot of silver micro-glitter/chunky shimmer. I expected this to be brighter but I see it as bit muted. Either way it’s quite pretty.

Caribbean Blue was normal thickness in the bottle and it dried quicly. Application could’ve been a bit better though. I think this needs three coats to be fully opaque. I was lazy though and only applied two coats cos I knew I was gonna remove it the following morning ;)

In this mani I used: OPI Nail Envy Soft & Thin x1, Caribbean Blue x2 and Poshe on top.
