China Glaze Sea Goddess – Shell We Dance?

12

Happy Sunday lovelies!! Today I have a pretty little thing from the new China Glaze spring 2014 Sea Goddess collection to show you. This is Shell We Dance? a gorgeously fruity and sweet pink texture polish with pink and silver glitter.

The formula on this was somewhat thick compared to OPI Liquid Sands but I had no issues with the application. I applied two coats which was enough for an opaque result and dry time wasn’t too long either. I really liked this one and now I’m tempted by the other pretties on this collection. Such gorgeous spring shades!

On this manicure I used two coats of Shell We Dance? no undies or top coat.

Try It On Tuesday – China Glaze Fancy Pants

4

Tuesday’s here again and it’s time to show you what I dug out of my untrieds pile this week. If you’d like to join this very relaxed weekly challenge just contact Sassy Paints :)

This is two coats of China Glaze Fancy Pants with G & G HK Girl top coat.

Application was ok, a little streaky on the first coat. Evened out nicely with the second coat though and that was actually enough. I was a little surprised cos I was under an impression that this is a little on the sheer side. I have no complaints really. Not a very unique shade but really pretty and I love the subtle pink shimmer that isn’t really visible on the photo.

ABC Challenge – N is for No Way Jose

34

Wow! It’s Wednesday again and already time for the letter N. Time just flies past so fast it blows my mind! For this week I chose another oldie but goodie, China Glaze No Way Jose. This is a very shimmery light purple shade. Very beautiful and just perfect for this time of the year. This one might be HTF nowadays but at least a while ago you could still find it from eBay.

On the photos I have three coats of No Way Jose and a coat of HK Girl Fast Drying + Super Shiny top coat.

Don’t forget to visit all the other lovely ladies on this challenge :)

China Glaze – Mimosa’s Before Mani’s

2

I bought three shades from China Glaze Avant Garden collection and I think I have to get at least three more. I love these spring/summer-y shades! First I’ll show you Mimosa’s Before Mani’s. This is a light colored and bright peachy coral/orange-y shade with a subtle gold shimmer. I didn’t have anything like this in my stash yet so I welcome it with open arms :D This is another perfect shade for a hot and sunny summer day. I’m in love!

Mimosa’s Before Mani’s applies perfectly and two coats dried fast. My long nails could’ve maybe used a third coat though. So on the photo I have two coats of Mimosa’s Before Mani’s and Poshe fast drying top coat.

I ran out of my Inm fast drying top coat so I need to place an order for it next week. I also have many bloggers favorite HK Girl Fast Drying + Super Shiny top coat coming my way.

Have a great Saturday everyone!

ABC Challenge – G is for Gussied Up Green

42

Happy hump day everyone! It’s time for our weekly ABC Challenge again. We are already at the letter G. Time really flies when you’re having fun, doesn’t it? So for G is chose China Glaze Gussied Up Green. This amazing green is from the 2008 Rodeo Diva collection which is one of my all time favorite collections from China Glaze. I can’t be sure if this is my first ever green nail polish but I think this is the one that started my passion for green.

Gussied Up Green is deep dark green shimmer. It has a certain glow to it that makes me love it so much. This applies very well and two coats was enough for an opaque result. I was thinking about stamping over it but after I got it applied I changed my mine. This one is just perfect on it’s own!

China Glaze – Def Defying

8

I bought two polishes from China Glaze Cirque du Soleil Worlds Away collection and here’s the first of those two, Def Defying. This is lovely yellow-ish lime green creme polish. Two coats was enough for a smooth opaque result and dry time was normal. With Inm Out The Door top coat the finish was just super shiny and perfect. I LOVE THIS!

China Glaze – Golden Spurs

1

After that glitter overdose and the last mani that was about as attractive as dog puke I decided to go for something a little more subtle. China Glaze Golden Spurs was perfect for that. I got this ages ago but never tried it until now. I have so many polishes that I have never tried and I’ve had them for a long time now. So I made a decision not to buy any nail polish until I have worn all the polishes I have at least once. Though I’ll let myself slip if I run into some extremely gorgeous polish for a great price.

Golden Spurs is from China Glaze Fall 2008 Rodeo Diva collection. Beautiful golden sand-y brown shade with a lot of gold shimmer. This is thin in the bottle and applies like a dream. Took only two coats to be opaque and dried really fast.

In this mani I used: OPI NNS x1, Golden Spurs x2 and Seche Vite on top.

Ruby Pumps for Christmas!

4

This is my actual Christmas manicure, China Glaze’s stunning Ruby Pumps. This is the most christmas-y polish I own. I meant to do a little Konading too but i ran out of time. Oh well, Ruby Pumps is just perfect on it own :)

China Glaze – Entourage

3

his weekend we are having a Midnight Sun Festival here in Finland and this is my manicure for that.

During summer it doesn’t really get dark at all here. I love the so called nightless time of the year. The sun is still shining at 11 pm and it feels like you have all the time in the world to do things. Days are so long and nights are light. I love it! and my american husband doesn’t ;D I think after almost 5 years of living in Finland he still hasn’t gotten used to the light nights.

Then to the manicure :) China Glaze entourage is a fresh limegreen shimmer polish. The shimmer in this one is so fine you have to look closely to see it. Entourage applied well and two coats was enough for an opaque result. It took a little longer than usual to dry but I think I might have applied it a tiny bit too thickly. In this mani I used: OPI Nail Envy Soft & Thin x2, Entourage x2 and Seche Vite on top.

I got so excited about Konading that I decided to try it on this mani too. I used the same small pattern with black and white Konad polishes. After getting the pattern on my nail I added small rhinestones to the flowers. The other white flower didn’t look as good as I wanted it to so I covered it with a bigger stone ;) I’m still not all that happy with the result but I guess I’ll get better if I keep practicing a lot :)
