Hello lovelies! I’ve been spending past couple of months trying to grow my nails to almond shape and getting over a flu plus yet another kidney infection (pyelonephritis). I feel like the whole family has taken turns being sick for the past three months. After everyone is healthy again the round starts from the beginning. Now that I have mostly recovered from the kidney infection the kids are snotty and have fever again. Fun times!

Growing my nails to almond shape
On my last post I talked about my summer and here’s how my nails are doing at the moment.
They are very short. Much shorter than I’d like them to be and I’d be lying if I told you I haven’t considered going for the UV-gel to help me grow some length again. But the thing is that I removed the gel layover cos of health reasons and the fact that I just didn’t have energy or time to fix the layover every two weeks cos I can’t stand the visible growth line. So I just have to keep reminding myself of those reasons and keep going.

It’s been a while. Here’s what I’ve been up to
I ended up taking most of the summer off from blogging. Totally unplanned but life happened once again. Now I’m trying to get my daily schedule organized so that I’ll have some time to blog again too. I’ve already returned to my social media sites so now it’s time to just come back here too.

Getting my feet and legs ready for summer
Finland has been getting some heat and sunshine unusually early this year so it’s time to dig out the flip flops, sandals, peep-toe heals and other gorgeous shoes from the winter storage. Removing the warm socks might also reveal the winter feet that aren’t perfectly pedicured and let’s face it, your legs might not be silky smooth either. So this is the perfect time to get your feet and legs ready for summer.

A day in Helsinki at Berner blogger event
Finnish company Berner has their own cosmetics brands (XZ, LV, Herbina etc.) and they also import beauty brands like IsaDora, Sensai, Clarins, Marc Jacobs, philosophy, Rimmel and others into Finland. This is a third time they hosted a blogger event to show us the new spring and summer products of their brands. I had a really fun day and here’s some of the things we got to see. Back to natural nails 2016 – Second IBX treatment
On Monday it was time for my second IBX treatment. You can read about my first experience here. The first treatment took away all the sensitivity and that stayed away too. Also my nails did feel stronger and healthier just after one treatment.

F.U.N. Lacquer – Glitzy Glam
Glitzy Glam is a beautiful teal holo polish. This color is very vivid and the subtle holo sparkle is just gorgeous. Unfortunately there was no sunlight when I wore this so daylight bulb photos is all I have for you today.

February favorites

It’s already spring on my nails
It’s still winter here in Finland and I can’t wait for spring to get here. I always get so much energy from spring. Days will be longer and there’s more sunlight. So now I also felt like using some bright colors on my nails too.
