Femme Fatale – Planar Anomalies

0

I recently received my first Femme Fatale polishes and they are gorgeous! First I’m showing you Planar Anomalies.

This is how it’s described by Femme Fatale “Planar Anomalies is a really complex polish that is nearly impossible to photograph. It’s a murky black base (sheer crelly, suitable for layering over another shade) with a subtle pink > green shift. in this darkly delightful base we have an assortment of grey, black, holo, purple and teal”.

I totally agree with the “nearly impossible to photograph” part. This one really gave me trouble. It is so unbelievably sparkly and has this amazing depth IRL and only a small part of the awesomeness this polish is can be captured on photos *sigh* I decided to wear this alone to get the depth showing but it would also look great over dark colored undies.

This is two normal coats of Planar Anomalies, a coat of Glitter Food and G & G HK Girl top coat.

Planar Anomalies is really packed with glitter and I think you’d get a better result with three thin, carefully applied coats than two normal ones. You need to be careful with the amount of the glitter on the brush so this will apply evenly. I was a little too generous with the glitter and there’s a few visible bumps. I absolutely love this deep dark color and I will most certainly wear it again when the fall comes. I’ll layer this with a dark shimmery purple and it’ll look stunning!

Femme Fatale polishes and cosmetics can be bought from their website if you live in Australia. International customers can find Femme Fatale polishes from Llarowe, Harlow & Co, Norway Nails, Shoppe Ecclecticco and Ledouxnuage.

You can also follow Femme Fatale on social media: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Jindie Nails – Dancing with the Stars

2

And here we go again :) This time, as promised, I have another brand new glitter topper from Jindie Nails. This is part of the Mod Quad collection.

On Jindie Nails website Dancing with the Stars is described as: “An assortment of shapes & colors of glitters including opaque matte baby pink, neon pink, white, matte opaque gray, black, silver holographic and matte opaque white diamonds, stars, dots, short bars (just a few), hex and a few hearts and butterflies.  It has neon pink stars, hearts and butterflies!”

This is super cute and girly! You can layer this with a lot of different base colors. I chose bubblegum pink but I’m also going to try this out with baby blue and pale lilac in the future.

This is OPI Chic From Ears To Tail, two thin coats of Dancing with the Stars, a coat of Glitter Food and G & G HK Girl top coat.

Dancing with the Stars is packed with glitter but it’s also easy to apply. I wanted to keep on adding more and more and ended up dabbing more glitter on few spots after applying two coats. It’s so pretty and I just couldn’t help myself :D I turned the bottle upside down before application to help get out the bigger glitter pieces. This didn’t work for the butterflies though and they decided not to work with me on this and stayed in the bottle. I could see them pretty little pink things taunting me through the glass though. I’ll get them next time :P

Jindie Nails polishes are available at www.jindienails.com. International customers can also click here to find a distributor that works the best for you. Jindie Nails can be found from FacebookTwitter and Instagram. Please go follow for latest news and swatches of awesome upcoming new shades!

OPI – Chic From Ears To Tail

4

Another day, another blog post :D This is OPI Chic From Ears To Tail, a very pretty bubblegum pink with a subtle silver shimmer. It’s from OPI Couture De Minnie collection of five polishes. Not really all that unique but very pretty either way.

This is three thin coats of Chic From Ears To Tail with G & G HK Girl top coat.

Chic From Ears To Tail was a little streaky to apply on the first coat and it took three careful coats to be smooth and opaque. This is a very summer-y girly shade that is great to wear alone and it also makes a good base for nail art or layering glitters.

Later today I’ll show you another new Jindie Nails glitter topper layered over this pretty pink thing. So check back for that!

I bought this polish along with the whole collection from Glisten & Glow’s online store. If you haven’t tried their Stuck On Blu base coat or the amazing HK Girl top coat be sure to correct that mistake soon enough ;) I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Glam Polish – Star Candy (Mei Mei’s Signatures exclusive)

6

Hello again :) Today ended up being another two posts day. I have so many cool polishes to review and show you that I think there will be a few two posts days ahead.

This time I have a fun and bright glitter topper from Glam Polish. This neon explosion is Mei Mei’s Signatures exclusive and you can’t buy it anywhere else. Star Candy has different shapes and sizes of glitter in several neon colors. It’s bright and fun and can be layered over a lot of different base colors. I chose two different ones to try it with.

First I layered it over Delush Polish It Takes Two To Mango. This is two coats of Star Candy and G & G HK Girl top coat.

Second I tried it over a black creme cos I really wanted the colors to pop out. This is a coat of Color Club Where’s The Soiree?, two coats of Star Candy and G & G HK Girl top coat.

Application was very good and glitters came out of the bottle easily. Formula is a little thin and runny but as long as you make sure not to have too much polish on the brush it applies just perfectly.

This can be bought from Mei Mei’s Signatures along with a lot of other goodies. Service is always great and friendly. Shipping has always been fast but this time it was super fast, five days from Singapore to Finland. Excellent if you ask me!

Delush Polish – It Takes Two To Mango

0

It’s time for another lovely Delushie from the Bombastic Summer Love Collection. This is It Takes Two To Mango, a delicious mango shade polish that is packed with shimmer. This is a very summer-y and feminine shade.

This is three thin coats of It Takes Two To Mango with G & G HK Girl top coat.

It Takes Two To Mango applies perfectly and dries fast. You can see some brushstrokes on the photos but they are barely visible IRL. This is perfect to wear alone or layer over a darker color. I myself layered an awesome bright glitter polish over this but that is a story for another post.

You can find Delush Polish website here and you can also follow in FacebookTwitter and Instagram.

Try it on Tuesday – OPI You Only Live Twice

2

Hello again! Here’s, as promised, my second post of the day. The awesome Gini from Sassypaints has come up with an idea of  “Try it on Tuesday”.

Here’s how it works:

“If you have a blog and you want to create a post do it, if you can’t that week but still want to participate that’s ok too! YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE A BLOG! Post it on your Facebook fan page, IG account, Tumblr, Twitter, or personal Facebook, anywhere you wish! EVERYONE is welcome to join in! I want to interact with my followers, not only with my fellow bloggers but with ALL of my fellow polish lovers!

Once you have posted your manicure, of an untried polish from your stash, email me a photo with the name and brand of the polish you chose and the link to where ever you posted (if available). My email is sassypaints2012@gmail.com

Then I will post all of the photos that were emailed to me that day, along with their links, in this photo album on my Facebook page!

You can’t post one week? Don’t worry! This is a low pressure “challenge”. I just want to get around to using some of my untried polishes and I know there are lots of my fellow nail junkies who would like to do so as well!”

This is right down my alley so I joined right away :D If we do this once a week I’m set at least for a year, probably two LOL

So my first untried is OPI You Only Live Twice. This is three thin coats with G & G HK Girl top coat.

I can’t believe this stunning red was sitting in my drawer untried. So pretty and sparkly! Application was good and my long nails needed three thin coats for an opaque result. Shorter nails can get away with two.

Jindie Nails – Sparkle on the Vine

4

Today I have another new glitter topper from Jindie Nails. This is Sparkle on the Vine and oh boy does it truly sparkle. This is so very bling and out in the sunshine it’s almost blinding. Absolutely gorgeous!!

Here’s what Jen has to say about it: “It has lots of purples, pinks and greens in a clear base loaded with multiple shades of shimmer.  The glitters are dots, squares, shreds, hex & diamonds.    This polish features new glitters I haven’t used before including lilac metallic extra large dots, lilac holographic large dots, opaque kelly green dots, opaque baby pink dots, violet metallic medium dots, large magenta metallic squares, teal diamonds, small lilac holographic dots & more.  This polish has a clear base meant for layering.  It’s packed with glitter and you should have pretty full coverage in about 2-3 coats tops”.

This one really is packed with glitter and it’s so sparkling. I wanted to keep adding more and more cos it looked so amazing. Imagine the sparkle on the photos x100 and you get some kind of idea of what this glitter topper really looks like. Amazing!

I layered this over my yesterday’s a england Tristam manicure. So this is two coats of Tristam, two coats of Sparkle on the Vine, a coat of Glitter Food and G & G HK Girl top coat.

Sparkle on the Vine applies well but some placing of a larger glitters might be needed. I turned the bottle upside down before application to get the bigger glitters out easier. This just a perfect glitter topper that goes with a lot of different base colors.

I also took a video of this to show how it really sparkles in the sun but the idiot that I am I messed it up and won’t be adding it to this blog post. I will start to do the videos with these hard to capture bling bling polishes though. I have a YouTube account now and I’ll be uploading some manicure videos over there in the future.

Jindie Nails polishes are available at www.jindienails.com. International customers can also click here to find a distributor that works the best for you. Jindie Nails – She Blinded me with Science

2

Late Saturday post for me cos I’ve had a busy day again. I just really wanted to show another new Jindie Nails summer shade to you guys. This is She Blinded me with Science and it has an insane (in a good way) amount of glitter in it.

Here’s the description from the Jindie Nails website: “It has a pale pink crelly base with multiple sizes of neon, holographic and metallic dots, squares, diamonds, rectangles and hex glitters.  This polish features small, medium and large silver holographic dots, small & medium & extra large matte black dots, large metallic turquoise dots plus lime green large metallic dots, white dots and moons plus matte gray moons”.

Yes, as I said, insane amount and it’s so cool! Jen is truly a genius when it comes to creating these amazing glitterbombs. Like all of her polishes, I absolutely love this one too. I looked at the bottle and just knew I would love it. So, so cool!

This is three thin coats of She Blinded me with Science, a coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and G & G HK Girl top coat.

She Blinded me with Science has the same excellent crelly based formula as the other new summer shades so application was a piece of cake. There’s so much glitter that I let some of it fall back to the bottle to avoid getting it all stuck together to a one big lump. I also turned the bottle upside down to help get out the bigger glitters.

Jindie Nails polishes are available at www.jindienails.com. International customers click here to find a distributor that works the best for you. Jindie Nails can also be found from FacebookTwitter and Instagram.

Crazy Polish Lady – Violet Hills

4

Hi and happy Friday! Today I have a gorgeous Crazy Polish Lady shade Violet Hills for you. This is from the “Colors are the music of my life” collection and I have previously shown you a few other shades too. Like the other ones I have from this collection this is also stunning and I just love the color.

Violet Hills is a crelly polish packed with holographic micro-glitter. This shade is amazing and it might just be my favorite out of the collection by far. So very pretty!

This is three thin coats of Violet Hills with G & G HK Girl top coat.

Violet Hills was a little bit more sheer than the other polishes I have tried from this same collection. Three thin coats did the trick and application was once again flawless. Even with three coats the dry time was short. I didn’t quite capture the beautiful holographic sparkle but it’s there, trust me :)

Crazy Polish Lady lives in Portugal and she ships internationally. She doesn’t have her own store yet but you can message her on her Facebook page or email her carvalho.sophie(@)gmail.com and place an order. This collection is now also available at Mei Mei’s Signatures.
