I want a white holo…

12

Another quick post while I have a second to write something. I really need to have some posts ready and scheduled for a couple of weeks ahead :D Been so busy again and on top of all the Holiday madness our little girl turned 3 yrs old and all three kids managed to get a flu. Fun times for everyone…

Sooo to the nails. I’ve been wanting a white holographic polish for a while and haven’t run into one anywhere. After all the Holiday manis and glitter I felt like I needed something fresh and simple and since I didn’t have that pure white holo this is what I did. I applied two coats of F.U.N. Lacquer Diamond holo top coat over Wet n Wild Break the Ice white shimmer and a coat of HK Girl top coat. Not pure white but still a pretty result IMO :)

I wore this manicure for days and now I’m ready for some New Year’s Eve glitter explosion again ;)

Jindie Nails – O Holo Night and stamping nail art

10

Happy Monday! It’s that magical time of the year and what would be a better polish to paint your nails with than the one that is called O Holo Night :D

“This one is a blackened navy blue linear holo with violet/blue glass fleck shimmer and made with SpectraFlair, the most potent holographic pigment on the market.  This is opaque in 2 coats!”

Formula on this was very good. Easy to apply, no dragging or balding and it was almost opaque already on one coat. Dry time was quick and it didn’t stain my nails. Unfortunately this time of the year there’s not enough sun here in Finland to see the holo effect as amazing as it would be in direct sunlight so I just have to show you how beautiful this looks with just daylight bulbs.

For this manicure I used a coat of Sally Hansen Nail Rehab, a coat of Glisten & Glow Stuck On Blu!, two coats of O Holo Night and HK Girl top coat.

Stamping is done with OPI Love.Angel.Music.Baby, squishy XL stamper and XL stamping plate OB-M. Rhinestones are from Konad Pro Rhinestone Pallet Set 7.

You can buy Jindie Nails polishes from JindieNails.com or from authorized distributors. You can find the latest news, releases and restock info from their FB and IG.

Holiday theme nails with Dollish Polish Redrum

8

It’s December! I love this time of the year :) So now it’s also time for the first Holiday theme manicure!

For this manicure I used Sally Hansen Nail Rehab and Glisten & Glow Stuck On Blu! as my base coats.

For all the nails I used Dollish Polish Redrum, not so Chrismas-sy themed holo polish from the Halloween collection. Unfortunately this is no longer available so you’ll have to wait till next year to see if it makes a return for Halloween then. This was too very easy coats. Dry time was fast and no chipping in three days when I wore this.

For the ring finger I used Chaos & Crocodiles Fireside Nights to get some sparkle.

At last I added some red and gold studs and finished the manicure with HK Girl top coat.

Dollish Polish – Walker Bait with a hint of nail art

4

Lately I’ve been so busy again that it’s hard to find time to write blog posts. I can do my nails and take the photos but I don’t seem to have enough time to just sit down and write these posts. So I’ve been thinking that instead of trying to write as much as I usually do I’ll keep it short and simple for a bit. That way I’ll at least get the reviews and posts up for you guys and who has time to read all this anyways LOL It’s more important to show the photos and tell you the basic things about the polish :)

This manicure is a bit of a tease cos the polish was limited edition and isn’t available anymore. This is Dollish Polish Walker Bait. I still want to show you this manicure cos Walker Bait is just stunning and you might want to keep your eyes open for it in case it makes another comeback in the future.

Walker Bait applies really well, is opaque on two coats and it dries fast. Removal was easy and there was no staining on my nails after this. It also didn’t chip during the two days I wore it. I wanted to wear it longer but I was peeling an apple and peeled a part of my ring finger nail off too so I had to remove the polish earlier than I was planning.

For this manicure I used a coat of Essie Fill the Gap, a coat of Glisten & Glow Stuck On Blu! base coat, two coats of Walker Bait and HK Girl top coat. Ring finger nail art is done with a fine brush using Mavala 106 Orange Fusion and OPI Liquid Sand Jinx. Studs are from Born Pretty Store.

Photos don’t do justice to this stunning polish. Looking at the bottle on these photos gives a better idea of how this looks on nails when light hits it in different angles. So beautiful!

piCture pOlish – O’Hara

4

So here are the first “official” swatch photos that I took on all natural nails (these photos still show the swollen pregnancy fingers that are also now back to normal). There are some iPhone shots that can be seen on my IG that were taken before these.

And can I just say YAY! It was a looooong road to get here but I didn’t give in and apply the gel back on my nails. We’ll see what the winter and freezing weather brings with it though :P Either way I don’t see the super long nails coming back soon since it’s a nice change to have shorter nails now.

Then let’s move on the beauty that is piCture pOlish O’Hara, stunning red crelly with a scattered holo effect. Such a gorgeous polish! Unfortunately I don’t have photos taken in direct sunlight but trust me, the holo goodness is there.

The formula on this was perfect! Easy and smooth application with a quick dry time. I really appreciate great quality polishes like this one right now cos the time I have to do my nails is so limited at the moment.

For this manicure I used a coat of Sally Hansen Nail Rehab, a coat of Glisten & Glow Stuck On Blu! base coat, two coats of O’Hara and HK Girl top coat.

Jindie Nails – You Can’t Turn a Ho-lo into a Housewife

4

Well I thought I had already shown you all the swatch photos that I still had gel on my nails in. Turns out I was wrong. Yesterday I found these photos. I took them last summer, moved them from the camera to my computer, put them in the wrong folder and forgot about them.

But now they have been found so here you go, Jindie Nails – You Can’t Turn a Ho-lo into a Housewife. A polish that has one of the most awesome names ever :D

“A gorgeous multi-chrome and linear holographic polish. The colors in this one include red to blue and all shades in between”.

Formula was perfect and I had no issues with the application. This was opaque in two coats and dried fast. I did a full manicure with this polish and I remember it didn’t chip but I have no clue how long I kept it on my nails. It was at least for two days, that I know.

For this manicure I used Sally Hansen Nail Rehab as a base coat, two coats of You Can’t Turn a Ho-lo into a Housewife and HK Girl top coat.

Jindie Nails – You Mad, Bro?

14

Today I have another soon to be released Jindie Nails polish for you. This is You Mad, Bro? limited edition polish made to celebrate Seattle Seahawks and their Super Bowl win.

I LOVE this name! Makes me laugh every time. If you’re a football fan and were following the events leading to Super Bowl this year you probably know the story behind the name :D It was hard to miss the Richard Sherman show with tweets and after game explosions.

I’m not a Seahawks fan but I still love this polish and what’s not to love!? You Mad, Bro? is an insanely vibrant and bright lime green with a subtle holographic effect. Just stunning!!

Application was perfect and this is opaque with just two coats. Dry time was fast and removal nice and easy. This is two coats of You Mad, Bro? with HK Girl top coat.

Follow Jindie Nails FB page and IG for further information about the release date!

Jindie Nails polishes are sold on their webstore at jindienails.com. International customers can find an authorized distributor here. You can also check out Jindie Nails social media sites on FacebookInstagram and Twitter for more swatches and latest news of amazing upcoming polishes and restocks!

I’m also showing you my new nails. Supershort for me :O I decided it was time to get rid of the plastic extensions and grow my own nails back. I’m still keeping the thin UV-gel layover cos my nails are easily breaking and peeling. UV-gel helps me grow some length and keeps the shape of the nails pretty. The coat of gel is very thin and my nails still look and feel very natural.

Jindie Nails – $^%t Just Got Teal

14

This lovely Sunday I have a special treat for you, an amazing, brand new – soon to be released Jindie for you. This is Jindie Nails $^%t Just Got Teal (Jindies have the best names LOL) Obviously a teal holo with lime green hex glitters. The color on this is so beautiful! Deep vibrant teal and so much sparkle even without sunlight and then when you do step into the sunlight BOOM! All the holo comes out and the polish is even more beautiful! Just perfection in a bottle! I love this so much!

Application was absolutely flawless, smooth and easy. For shorter nails this is a one coater, I applied two. I think the second coat also adds depth to this beauty. This applied so perfectly that I had no need for clean up either.

This was love at first sight from the moment when I dug out the bottle from it’s bubble wrap! Jen’s creations just keep getting better and better!

This is two coats with HK Girl top coat.

Glitter Gal Australia Blooming Babes Spring 2014 Collection

16

Glitter Gal Australia is just about to release their Blooming Babes Spring 2014 collection. This collection includes five shades, four cremes and a stunning holo plus Gloss Boss top coat. Today I have swatches of the whole collection for you.

Let’s start with a few words about Gloss Boss Ultimate Color Enhancer top coat.

Gloss Boss top coat “is the ultimate colour enhancer with a gel like, super glossy finish.  Can be applied over Glitter Gal’s entire polish collections, even holographics.  If applying to holographics, wait 2 minutes for the holographic effect to be enhanced.”

This top coat is a bit on the thick side but easy to apply and it’s self leveling. This really does enhance the color on creme polishes I have tried it on. Finish is very shiny and has a gel like feeling to it. This is not a fast drying top coat but the dry time is not too long at all. I quite like this one and I love the glossy finish it gives to creme polishes.

Then let’s move on to the gorgeous polishes on this collection …. and oh yes, I filed my nails shorter and got rid of the stiletto shape for now. Just felt like I needed a change :)

Nuddy Nude – two generous coats with Gloss Boss top coat. A beautiful pale sand-y beige nude. This is your basic neutral nude creme. Perfect for many different skin tones. Subtle and chic color. Very pretty! This takes two somewhat generous coats or three thinner coats to be even and opaque. The formula is very good and smooths itself out nicely so I didn’t see a problem with two thicker coats.

Good On Ya – two generous coats with Gloss Boss top coat. Pale green creme with a hint of yellow. This color is so awesome. I want to call it pastel neon cos it’s pastel but also so vibrant. Really cool and unique in my collection. This also creates the “Ohh! My hands are tanned!” effect. Love this color and I’ll definitely do some nail art on this. This is the same way with Nuddy Nude, applies well, levels itself and takes two thicker or three thin coats for a perfect result.

Mozzie Bite – two normal coats with Gloss Boss top coat. Juicy, squishy berry red crelly. Great application and lovely glossy finish. Beautiful!

Bikini Babe – two generous coats with Gloss Boss top coat. Delicate pastel pink creme. Perfect girly summer shade. I think this might have just taken the #1 spot of pastel pinks in my collection. Formula and application on this is very similar to Nuddy Nude and Good On You.

Love Bite – three thin coats, no top coat. Stunning red linear holo. Excellent application and quick dry time. Photos are taken with daylight bulbs and the holo effect is even stronger in direct sunlight. I applied three coats but shorter nails will get away with just two. Such a beautiful shade of red! Love!

Jindie Nails Wifey Material and Re-Fresh to Death

2

Today I have two brand new Jindies for you. These will be launched tomorrow, 5th of April along with my collaboration polish Pink Stilettos and Bonnie & Clyde duo, collaboration with Dollish Polish. Exact time hasn’t been announced so keep watching Jindie Nails FB page and IG for more info on tomorrow’s launch.

First we have Wifey Material “It is made with a multichrome pigment, linear holographic pigment, flecks of real silver and a bit of silver shimmer. Application is great and this is opaque in about 2 coats!  This polish shifts from baby blue to violet, to red tones”.

This polish is just gorgeous and it sparkles like a rainbow in sunlight. This was two easy coats with HK Girl top coat. Application was nice and smooth and two coats was enough for perfectly opaque result.

Macro taken in direct sunlight. This is intentionally blurry to show you the beautiful rainbow sparkle.
Another new polish released tomorrow is Re-Fresh to Death. This name cracks me up :D I don’t actually know the story behind the name but it reminds me of the little sin most of us indie polish lovers have most likely committed during a crazy restock, obsessive refreshing of the page when the restock is about to happen ;)
“Re-Fresh to Death has a white crelly (cream/jelly) base loaded with small, metallic hexagons in sapphire blue, lilac, periwinkle, magenta, mauve, lavender & dark purple”. Surprise, surprise! I love this one too! :P Re-Fresh to Death is so packed with glitter and still very easy to apply. Crelly base is just perfect and creates a lovely sandwich effect. Glitter came out of the bottle very easily, no extra tricks needed. Two coats was enough for opaque result and I used one coat of HK Girl top coat to smooth the surface.
So these will launch at Jindie Nails website tomorrow 5th of April with the previously mentioned new releases. International shipping will be available.
See anything you like? I know I’ll be there trying to get one of those limited edition Bonnie & Clyde duos!
