Welcome to Finland Dollish Polish! and revisiting Penny…Penny…Penny…

10

Dollish Polish pretties have just arrived to their new Finland stockist CesarsShop. To celebrate that I’m revisiting one of my favorites Penny…Penny…Penny…

I have the old bottle since (if I remember correctly) I got this from the first restock when this became available. After over a year my bottle is still in perfect condition and applied smoothly as ever. Great quality!

Penny…Penny…Penny… is a beautiful peachy nude with lovely copper glitter and shimmer. So very pretty! This is two coats with HK Girl top coat.

Arcane Lacquer – Complicated Nothings

4

Today I have a new to me indie brand from Australia for you. Arcane Lacquer is created by Nail Gun XS and if you like Aussie indie brands I bet you’ve seen some of her amazing swatches around the internet.

So Complicated Nothings is my first Arcane Lacquer polish and I’m quite impressed with the quality. This rosy pink shimmery crelly applies very smoothly and evenly. I applied two coats and there was somewhat visible nail line but it didn’t look bad at all. I actually wanted to leave it that way cos this is a very feminine and delicate looking polish that has certain lightness to it cos it’s a bit sheer. I didn’t want to even try to achieve a fully opaque result since I wanted to keep that light look. I bet this is fully opaque with three coats though and and you can apply this pretty thinly so three coats is not a problem at all. This has such beautiful sparkle! I’m in love!

On the photos I have two coats of Complicated Nothings with HK Girl top coat.

Arcane Lacquer polishes are also available at Norway Nails. You can use the code “POLISHAHOLIC” to get -10% off of any purchase. Norway Nails offers a wide range of gorgeous indies and other polish brands. You can also follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

Jindie Nails Wifey Material and Re-Fresh to Death

2

Today I have two brand new Jindies for you. These will be launched tomorrow, 5th of April along with my collaboration polish Pink Stilettos and Bonnie & Clyde duo, collaboration with Dollish Polish. Exact time hasn’t been announced so keep watching Jindie Nails FB page and IG for more info on tomorrow’s launch.

First we have Wifey Material “It is made with a multichrome pigment, linear holographic pigment, flecks of real silver and a bit of silver shimmer. Application is great and this is opaque in about 2 coats!  This polish shifts from baby blue to violet, to red tones”.

This polish is just gorgeous and it sparkles like a rainbow in sunlight. This was two easy coats with HK Girl top coat. Application was nice and smooth and two coats was enough for perfectly opaque result.

Another new polish released tomorrow is Re-Fresh to Death. This name cracks me up :D I don’t actually know the story behind the name but it reminds me of the little sin most of us indie polish lovers have most likely committed during a crazy restock, obsessive refreshing of the page when the restock is about to happen ;)
“Re-Fresh to Death has a white crelly (cream/jelly) base loaded with small, metallic hexagons in sapphire blue, lilac, periwinkle, magenta, mauve, lavender & dark purple”. Surprise, surprise! I love this one too! :P Re-Fresh to Death is so packed with glitter and still very easy to apply. Crelly base is just perfect and creates a lovely sandwich effect. Glitter came out of the bottle very easily, no extra tricks needed. Two coats was enough for opaque result and I used one coat of HK Girl top coat to smooth the surface.
So these will launch at Jindie Nails website tomorrow 5th of April with the previously mentioned new releases. International shipping will be available.
See anything you like? I know I’ll be there trying to get one of those limited edition Bonnie & Clyde duos!

Jindie Nails – Lights Out and Love Me

4

These two polishes were released together as a Valentines Duo but due to popular demand they will still be restocked. They won’t be offered as a duo set anymore but you can buy them individually.

First we have Lights Out “a very dark gray, almost black super squishy jelly.  It’s full of all shades of reds and pinks and is pretty opaque on it’s own in 3 coats, or can be layered over many different colors for a totally different look”.

This looks amazing on it’s own or layered over a dark color. But there’s already swatch photos that way so I decided to take a different road with this one. I layered it over yesterday’s Pink Stilettos manicure and I love how it turned out looking. Lights Out covered Pink Stilettos almost completely but the pink shade underneath brings certain warmth to this grey shade. Macro shot also shows the beautiful shimmer in this. The result was very beautiful and totally unique!

Formula on this was excellent. I applied two coats normally and the result was very smooth. No need to fish for the glitter either. I didn’t even turn the bottle upside down. I only needed to apply one coat of HK Girl to smooth it out.

Ok, then let’s move on to the other one. This is Love Me “a medium purple shade with a blue flash, matte ice blue small hex, violets, blues, magentas, pinks throughout.  It’s a cream/jelly and opaque in 2-3 coats”.

Love Me was a bit tricky to try and capture accurately. I had to adjust the color a bit afterwards to make it look as close to reality as possible. I think I got pretty close but in real life the shade is somewhat deeper and even more vibrant. This one is totally stunning!!

Formula on Love Me was also very good. It applied well and was opaque with two coats. This dried a little rougher and I used two coats of HK Girl to smooth the surface nicely.

These will be available at jindienails.com. You can also check out Jindie Nails social media sites on FacebookInstagram and Twitter for more swatches and latest news of amazing upcoming polishes and restocks!

Jindie Nails – Pink Stilettos (collaboration with Polishaholic RiaG)

25

I’m very proud to present my collaboration polish with Jindie Nails!!

This is Pink Stilettos and here’s how it’s described on Jindie Nails website: “Pink Stilettos is a pastel pink cream/jelly with scatter and linear holographic glitters.  It also has a very pretty pink/gold shifting shimmer added to it.  This one can be worn alone, with no base coat and opaque in about 2 or 3 coats.  As always, 3-free, cruelty free & hand poured in southern USA!”

Jen did perfect with this polish and I couldn’t be happier! Pink Stilettos is gorgeous in sunlight with the scattered holo glitters and the shimmer makes it stunning even when there’s less light. This shade of pink also goes with a lot of different skin tones. I know I usually show a lot of those awesome glitter bombs that I love so much and this is not one of them. I wanted to do something that is suitable for a lot of people so this is perfect to wear on it’s own and it also makes a great, sparkling base for various glitter toppers.

Formula is also great. For this manicure I applied two easy coats of Pink Stilettos and HK Girl top coat. Dry time was very quick. Application was so smooth I didn’t even need to do clean up after. This is somewhat sheer on the first coat but the result is so even you can leave it at that if you want a more delicate looking result. Perfect polish in every way!

This will be available at jindienails.com in April 2014. You can also check out Jindie Nails social media sites on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for more swatches and latest news of amazing upcoming polishes and restocks!

Thank you Jen for this amazing polish! ♥

Femme Fatale – Spring Fling

6

Today I have a beautiful Femme Fatale polish for you.  This is Spring Fling and on Femme Fatale website this is described as “A medium opacity creme polish speckled with hints of pastel green and aqua, flashes of white diamond and bright pink metallic glitter. Scattered throughout are soft flecks of neon green”.

This is very pretty and truly looks like a spring color to me. This was very hard to capture accurately but in real life the base color is fresh light teal and the glitters really pop nicely. The formula was very good and I had no issues with the application. Two coats looked like it was enough but looking at the photos maybe I could’ve even applied a third. I used two coats of top coat to smooth the surface. This was very packed with glitter so no need to even turn the bottle upside down. Very, very pretty!!

Femme Fatale polishes and cosmetics can be bought from their website where you can also find a list of international stockists. You can also follow Femme Fatale on social media: FacebookTwitter and Instagram.

For this manicure I used two coats of Spring Fling and two coats HK Girl top coat.

New Year’s Eve Jindiefest!

4

Hello everyone!! I want to celebrate New Year’s Eve by showing you some nail polish swatches of my favorite indie brand, Jindie Nails. These are all older polishes and I believe most, if not all are still available.

Application and formula on all of these was good. Swatching these reminded me once again why I love Jindies so much. All of these are different and still there is this Jindie look and feeling to them :) Jindie Nails polishes are available at jindienails.com and international customers can find the stockists by clicking here.

Usual indie glitter application instructions apply.

– Make sure polish is well mixed before the application
– To help getting the bigger glitter pieces out of the bottle it’s recommended to turn the bottle upside down for a bit
– Let each coat dry for a bit before applying the next to avoid dragging the bigger glitter pieces from the previous coat.
– You can use a dotting tool or an orangewood stick to place/separate the glitter if necessary.
– You might want to use a product like Glitter Food or two coats of top coat for a smoother result.

And remember that the application on these glitter bomb indies is not always as easy as your regular nail polish. To get smooth and beautiful result might sometimes take some practice. I know I didn’t always get it right for the first times I tried applying chunky glitter bombs :)

Top coat on all these manicures is of course HK Girl. So here we go!

Candy Land Remix (three coats and two coats of top coat)
Zomboy (two coats and  top coat)
Swoon (three thin coats and top coat)
Pretty Penny (three coats, no undies and top coat)
Moon Walk LE (two coats and two coats of top coat)
Live Out Loud (three coats and top coat)
Water 4 Elephants (two coats with two coats of top coat)
Femme Fire (two coats with two coats of top coat)
I have now swatched all but one Jindie Nails polishes I own. I love all my Jindies and can’t wait to see what Jen has up her sleeve for 2014!

Jindie Nails – Fall Chic Collection

2

Happy Sunday everyone! Today I have an awesome post for you,  the whole Fall Chic collection of five polishes for fall 2013 from Jindie Nails. Jindie Nails is my favorite indie brand and I absolutely love all these polishes too. Jen has really perfected her formula. Crelly bases are so easy and smooth to apply. Jelly bases are incredibly juicy and the shimmer ones have such awesome glow and depth. I love Jindie Nails ♥

Jindie Nails has also started using new 9 ml bottles for her medium size bottles. Brush is thin but easy to use and I had no issues with it. The bottle itself is tall and skinny. It was very easy to get the polish and the glitter out and at no point did I feel like the bottle was going to tip over. I quite like these new bottles!

So let’s start this with Breakfast at Tiffany’s Cousins “a teal crelly with matte maroon dots, lime green holo dots, matte blue dots and more”.

This is two coats with G & G HK Girl top coat.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s Cousins has that great Jindie Nails crelly formula. Excellent application, opaque with two coats but still creates an sandwich effect. Shiny on it’s own, super shiny with HK Girl. I love the glitter combination on this. Very Beautiful!

Next we have What Are You Smokin’ Mirrors “a medium gray crelly with gold and silver shimmer and dots in 3 sizes”.

This is two coats with Glitter Food and G & G HK Girl top coat.

What Are You Smokin’ Mirrors is perfect for the fall season. Good  and easy application. I love how the gold glitter pops from the grey base. This is very beautiful and unique.

Here’s Rhythm & Blue “a deep neon blue jelly with gold flakes and medium and small gold dots.  This dries to a satin matte finish”.

This is two coats alone and with HK Girl top coat.

Rhythm & Blue is a very vibrant blue with an excellent formula and application. First photo shows the satin matte finish and the second is with top coat. I probably should’ve applied a third coat but the nail line wasn’t as visible in real life as it appears to be on the photos here. This is very pretty with top coat but I actually prefer it more without. Satin matte finish is perfect for this one.

Then we have the amazing Midnight Rainbow “a black jelly with  a rainbow of small, medium and large holographic and metallic dots in an assortment of colors. The best part about this polish is the intense gold/violet shimmer!  It’s also loaded with iridescent purple/blue/green glitters throughout”.

This is a coat of Essie Licorice (black creme), two coats of Midnight Rainbow and HK Girl top coat.

O M G !! This is just too awesome! I’ve seen a lot of swatch photos of this alone and it’s totally drool worthy that way too. I just decided to try it with a black creme base and oh boy how that made the shimmer in this explode. This truly looks like a midnight rainbow. Photos don’t even do justice to how amazing this polish truly looks. It sparkles and glows! Application was good and this is very packed with glitter. I even let some of it drop back in the bottle. Just so awesome!

And I saved my favorite for last (is anyone surprised it’s a green one?) :D This is Shimmer Me Timbers “a deep emerald green jelly with intense gold shimmer, circles, squares and hex in golds, teal, magenta, copper and more”.

This is two coats of Illamasqua Rampage (green jelly), two coats of Shimmer Me Timbers and HK Girl top coat.

I said O M G !! about Midnight Rainbow but for this I don’t even have words! Green perfection in the bottle! Like Midnight Rainbow I’ve seen a lot of swatch photos of this alone and I figured I should try it with a green jelly base and I didn’t go wrong there. This looks amazing on it’s own but the green base takes it to another level. It almost looks radioactive. The depth and the glow! Wow, just WOW! Again the application was nice and smooth. Love, love LOVE this!!

Jindie Nails for Halloween

0

It’s that spooky time of the year again! I have prepared with a lot of candy and some nail polish. Today I have two nail polishes created by Jindie Nails. Blood, Bath & Beyond is from the Halloween 2013 collection and Barbie’s Nightmare is Mei Mei’s Signatures exclusive for Halloween.

First we have Blood, Bath & Beyond “Blood red jelly with intense violet/gold shimmer, lavender and violet metallic and holographic dots, gold metallic and holographic large, small and medium dots, red large, small and medium metallic dots and purple iridescent sparks throughout”.

This is two coats of Blood Bath & Beyond with G & G HK Girl top coat.

Blood, Bath & Beyond is a great quality blood red jelly. This is so juicy and squishy! Application was smooth and easy. I didn’t even turn the bottle upside down before application but that is the thing to do if you have trouble getting the glitter out of the bottle. You should allow some time for the first layer to dry before applying second or the bigger glitter pieces might start dragging.

The second polish of the day is Mei Mei’s Signatures exclusive for Halloween 2013. This is how Barbie’s Nightmare is described: “White crelly with black irregular glitters, moon, dot, star, square, silver dot, neon pink square, grey moon, grey dot and red star”.

On the photos there’s three thin coats of Barbie’s Nightmare with G & G HK Girl top coat.

Barbie’s Nightmare has a perfect white crelly base. Milky and sheer enough to create a great sandwich effect but still opaque on three coats. A little streaky on the first coat but evened out nicely on second and third coat. This was actually quite easy to apply and just perfection compared to some white polishes. I did turn the bottle upside down before the application.
Jindie Nails polishes are available at www.jindienails.com. International customers can also click here to find a distributor that works the best for you. Jindie Nails can be found from FacebookTwitter and Instagram. Please go follow for latest news and swatches of awesome upcoming new shades!
Barbie’s Nightmare is available only at Mei Mei’s Signatures. They offer worldwide shipping and great customer service! You can also find Mei Mei’s from FacebookTwitter and Instagram.

Crazy Polish Lady – Another Mojito, Please!

1

It’s Monday again! I hope everyone is off to a great start with their week :) Today I have Crazy Polish Lady Another Mojito, please! for you. This is from the limited edition Summer Is Up collection. Even though this is a summer polish the colors go great for fall and winter too. This crelly polish has quite a unique and lovely color combination!

For this mani I used two coats of Another Mojito, please! with G & G HK Girl top coat.

Formula was good and the application was nice and smooth which is usually the case with Crazy Polish Lady polishes. This was opaque on two coats but with my long nails it would’ve not done any harm to add a third coat. With two coats the result was smooth enough so I didn’t need Glitter Food before the top coat.

Crazy Polish Lady has recently opened her own webstore. This polish is still available along with previous collections and a very stunning looking new fall collection. So go check it out! You can also follow her on Facebook.
