Konad shopping

5

I got my first Konad order in mail last week. I ordered these from Konad Finland. As you can see I got Stamp & Scraper package, two Konad plates (M62 and M63) and black special nail polish. I have yet to try these out since I’ve been quite busy lately. I don’t want to do it in a hurry cos I don’t think the first time is going to be that easy to begin with and doing it in a big rush will make it all the more harder.

I will post pics as soon as I try ’em out. I’m really looking forward on Konading my nails and buying some more nail polishes and Image Plates.

Nail breakage tragedy

6

This posting is only about me complaining about breaking my nails. Just when I had them grown to the lenght and shape I wanted them to be they have to go and fall apart. Since I broke three nails I had to trim all of them short. I had an option of getting gel/concept nails on the broken ones or try to glue them, but I decided that it’s easiest just to cut them short.

So now I start to grow them back long again and I hope it won’t take forever. I still have a few swatch pics with the long nails, but after that you’ll have to live with the short nail swatches for a bit.

It’s quite a change from the nails you can see on the last posting’s photo, eh?

Hard To Find (for now)

3

OPI Kinky In Helsinki is one of those Hard To Find discontinued polishes. I don’t exactly know what to call this color… magenta with a lot of shimmer might be closest to the truth. It’s a lovely, radiant shade. I bet many people have also bought this nail polish just for it’s name ;) This is one of my all time favorites and I just love this color.

So you can imagine my excitement when I read about OPI re-releases from Nail Juice‘s blog. In march the re-released OPI nail polish will be no other than Kinky In Helsinki. I don’t care what I have to go through to get myself a backup bottle of Kinky, but I’m gonna find a way. My own bottle is already years old and I can really use another one for future.

My Kinky In Helsinki is already quite thin in the bottle due to the old age but it still applies like butter and dries quickly. In this mani I used: Nail Tek II x1 as a basecoat, Kinky In Helsinki x3 and Seche Vite on top.

Look what Santa brought me!

Santa Claus was extra-nice to me this Christmas and brought me some nail polishes too! He was so nice he even gave me one gift before Christmas so you have already seen swatches of two of the polishes ;)

I got seven China Glaze nail polish bottles. Operation: Colour collection’s Code Orange, Revolution, Pink Underground and Secret Peri-Wink-Le. Bahama Blues nail polishes Bahamian Escape, Blue Paradise and Bermuda Breakaway. I already own Blue Island Iced Tea from this collection and Caribbean Blue is on it’s way from 8ty8 Beauty. I doubt that I’ll buy the darkest shade, Calypso Blue, cos I already have a few of those almost black shades.

Christmas manicure

0

This is my actual Christmas manicure this year. For this I used all three polishes from China Glaze Sleigh Ride collection. On the ring fingers I have two coats of Emerald Sparkle and after that I applied two coats of Tinsel to half the nail. All the other nails have two coats of Ruby Pumps. Basecoat is OPI Nail Envy Soft & Thin x2 and Seche Vite on top of everything as usual.
