Jindie Nails manicure

6

For this manicure I used two Jindie Nails polishes Phone, Keys, Polish, Check! and Frank’s Ole Lady. Since they were both so gorgeous I couldn’t decide which one to use first so I used both. I have a review and better swatch photos of Phone, Keys, Polish, Check! coming up later on :)

For this manicure I used Sally Hansen Nail Rehab treatment and Glisten & Glow Stuck On Blu! base coat on all the nails. Phone, Keys, Polish, Check! on my index, middle and pinky nail. Then I used Frank’s Ole Lady for thumb and ring finger nails. Stamping was done with Konad silver stamping polish and Konad M63 plate. I finished the manicure with HK Girl top coat.

If you want Frank’s Ole Lady I suggest you act FAST. Right now, at this moment there’s only 3 left on the store and it’s not coming back!

You can buy Jindie Nails polishes from JindieNails.com or from authorized distributors. You can find the latest news, releases and restock info from their FB and IG.

Mavala – 310 Espresso with some nail art

10

This manicure is quick and simple but I really liked it.

The base color is Mavala Espresso from their Fall 2014 Sublime collection. Espresso has an excellent formula. It applies very smoothly and evenly and is opaque with two coats. Dry time was quick and it didn’t stain my nails or cuticles when removed.

For this manicure I used a coat of Essie Fill The Gap and Glisten & Glow Stuck On Blu! base coats, two coats of Espresso and HK Girl top coat. Stamping was done with OPI Love.Music.Angel.Baby velvet matte polish and Born Pretty Store stamping plate (you can use the code NZL91 for -10% off).

***Mavala Espresso and OPI  Love.Angel.Music.Baby were sent for review. Studs and stamping plate were gifted to me. I don’t benefit from clicking any of the links on this post.

Jindie Nails – Coral-ing All The Jindie Junkies (Fan group custom polish)

8

I gotta take a break from organizing my new nail and makeup room aka woman cave :D to show you this new Jindie Nails beauty. This is Coral-ing All The Jindie Junkies and it was created as a custom polish for Jindie Nails fan group in FB.

“This one is is a coral  shimmer polish loaded with blue, purple, pink, rose, green, gold and real silver flakies.  It’s also got micro glitters in holographic gold and holographic silver.  The polish is opaque in 2-3 coats.”

Quality of this polish was very good. It applied nice and smooth, dried fast enough and didn’t chip during the three days I wore this manicure. Just beautiful!

For this manicure I used a coat of Essie Fill The Gap and a coat of Glisten & Glow Stuck On Blu! base coats, two coats of Coral-ing All The Jindie Junkies and HK Girl top coat. For the ring finger I used a coat of Essie Fill The Gap and two coats of OPI Love.Angel.Music.Baby velvet matte, no top coat.

You can buy Jindie Nails polishes from JindieNails.com or from authorized distributors. You can find the latest news, releases and restock info from their FB and IG.

Born Pretty Store review – Gold and silver nail art rings

8

Today I have some nail art for you using silver rings and rhinestones from Born Pretty Store.

These rings come in a wheel of gold and silver colored metal rings. They can be used for nail art on natural nails or with gel/acrylic nails. These are not too big so they are easy to place on the nails. I chose to put a rhinestone inside of the rings and also placed some rhinestones around them.
I actually expected these to be solid rings but as you can see on the photo above, the ends overlap each other a little. I thought this might be a problem and cause them to get stuck on clothes and hair etc. but it really wasn’t an issue at all. I pressed the ring on to wet nail polish, placed the rhinestones and few glitter pieces and sealed everything with a generous coat of HK Girl top coat. I wore this manicure for two days. The rings didn’t get caught on anything during that time and both the rings and rhinestones stayed on perfectly until I removed the manicure.
For this manicure I used:Mavala 315 Amethyst from the Fall 2014 Sublime collection. I used two coats for index and pinky nails. For middle finger and thumb nails I used a coat of Amethyst and a coat of Lynnderella Jelly Egg. Everything is topped with HK Girl top coat.
For the ring finger I first applied two coats of Essie Fill the Gap. Next I applied a generous coat of OPI In True Stefani Fashion glitter polish on the middle of the nail. Then I placed the rings and rhinestones on to the wet polish and pressed them down gently. I also added some F.U.N. Lacquer Winter Wonderland glitter topper (Can this please make comeback this Christmas? It’s so awesome!) for extra sparkle. I topped everything with another generous coat of HK Girl top coat and I was done!
These rings looked pretty much as I thought they would when used on a manicure. I quite like the little extra something they bring on a regular rhinestone nail art. I’ll definitely will be using these again on another manicure.

You can buy these silver and gold rings from Born Pretty Store and they also have a wide range of other nail art supplies. Born Pretty Store offers free worldwide shipping. Please use the code “NZL91” when you order and get extra -10% discount.

Dollish Polish – Walker Bait with a hint of nail art

4

Lately I’ve been so busy again that it’s hard to find time to write blog posts. I can do my nails and take the photos but I don’t seem to have enough time to just sit down and write these posts. So I’ve been thinking that instead of trying to write as much as I usually do I’ll keep it short and simple for a bit. That way I’ll at least get the reviews and posts up for you guys and who has time to read all this anyways LOL It’s more important to show the photos and tell you the basic things about the polish :)

This manicure is a bit of a tease cos the polish was limited edition and isn’t available anymore. This is Dollish Polish Walker Bait. I still want to show you this manicure cos Walker Bait is just stunning and you might want to keep your eyes open for it in case it makes another comeback in the future.

Walker Bait applies really well, is opaque on two coats and it dries fast. Removal was easy and there was no staining on my nails after this. It also didn’t chip during the two days I wore it. I wanted to wear it longer but I was peeling an apple and peeled a part of my ring finger nail off too so I had to remove the polish earlier than I was planning.

For this manicure I used a coat of Essie Fill the Gap, a coat of Glisten & Glow Stuck On Blu! base coat, two coats of Walker Bait and HK Girl top coat. Ring finger nail art is done with a fine brush using Mavala 106 Orange Fusion and OPI Liquid Sand Jinx. Studs are from Born Pretty Store.

Photos don’t do justice to this stunning polish. Looking at the bottle on these photos gives a better idea of how this looks on nails when light hits it in different angles. So beautiful!

***Walker Bait,Jinx and studs were purchased by me, Mavala Orange Fusion was sent for review.

A little update and glitter-y gradient nails

5

Hello lovelies! Lately I haven’t been blogging as much as I’d like to due to (as some of you already know) me being pregnant. I’m simply just too tired and exhausted with two young kids and this beached whale body of mine to get anything done. Now the weather also got a lot warmer here in Finland so my fingers are super swollen and not really swatch photo material at the moment.

I’m due in early September and I’ll try and keep posting somewhat regularly till then. My plan was to get some nail art done for some scheduled posts but we will see about that LOL I might need some guest posters too to help me keep my blog alive. So other than being huge and super tired all the time everything is ok :) I have a lot of polishes to show you and some cool nail art ideas too. I hope I can find the time and energy to get something done soon enough.

Here’s a manicure I did before my fingers started swelling up. The base is Wet n Wild Break The Ice (white shimmer), the light blue gradient is done with Dollish Polish Sweet Dreams Are Made Of Glitter (CesarsShop exclusive that is only available in Finland) and the gold glitter is F.U.N. Lacquer Gold Mark. Base coat was Glisten & Glow Stuck On Blu! and everything is topped off with HK girl top coat. This looked much better inside my head, as usual, but I’ll post it anyways :D

Today my fingers actually look reasonable so as soon as I hit the Publish button I’ll go and take photos of my nail growing progress. At least that is going well :D

Born Pretty Store – Black rhinestone wheel review

4

Today I’m back with another Born Pretty Store product review. This time I chose to test black rhinestones. These come in a wheel that has about 500 rhinestones in four different sizes in it for the price of $3.95.

These rhinestones are super easy to use for all kinds of nail art. You can attach them with top coat or nail glue if you want to make sure they stay on. Just remember that nail glue can make them stick real hard on your nails and it might make it much harder to remove the manicure.

Since I’m growing out the UV-gel layover on my nails I decided to do a design that covers the annoying growth line nicely. I used top coat to attach three different size rhinestones from the wheel on my nails near the cuticle (I chose not to use the biggest ones this time). The base color is Love, Angeline Lunar Love from my Monday’s blog post.

I love how this turned out! I think the black stones look perfect with the delicate pink polish.

You can buy these black rhinestones from Born Pretty Store and they also have a wide range of other nail art supplies. Born Pretty Store offers free worldwide shipping. Please use the code “NZL91” when you order and get extra -10% discount.

Born Pretty Store fluorescent square studs review

6

Hello lovelies! Today it’s time for another Born Pretty Store review. I like doing nail art but I feel like I never have time. So doing these reviews for BPS sort of force me to do some nail art from time to time :D This time I got some square fluorescent studs to test. These come in a wheel that has both neon-ish and pastel studs in it.

For this manicure I used Glitter Gal Bikini Babe pastel pink creme as a base color. On the ring finger I used the studs from Born Pretty Store sealed in with Glitter Gal Gloss Boss top coat. This top coat is thick-ish gel like finish so it’s perfect to use with studs. It’s also not a fast drying top coat so it doesn’t damage or make the studs bleed color like a fast drying top coat might do.

For all the other nails I did a gradient on top of Glitter Gal Bikini Babe using IsaDora Sugar Crush polishes 134 Bon Bon (light pink) and 135 Cotton Candy (lilac).

You can use these studs in so many different designs and they are super easy to use. I usually just press them on to the wet polish and seal with a top coat.

You can buy these square studs from Born Pretty Store and they also have a wide range of other nail art supplies. Born Pretty Store offers free worldwide shipping. Please use the code “NZL91” when you order and get extra -10% discount.

Spring flowers – Acrylic paint nail art

12

Here’s some nail art I did with Oumaxi acrylic paints. The base color is OPI Alpine Snow. I added some Cesars Secrets loose glitter (#225) on top of it. Painted the flowers with acrylic paints and used A England She Walks In Beauty for some extra sparkle. Everything is topped off with HK Girl top coat. You can find a tutorial (in Finnish) with photos here.

***Alpine Snow, Oumaxi acrylic paints,  Cesars Secrets #225 loose glitter and HK Girl top coat were received for free, everything else purchased by me. I don’t benefit from clicking any of the links on this post.
