I really like shopping Essence nail polishes. They have a great color selection and the ones that I have tried have definitely been worth the money. I mean the price here in Finland is only 1,99 euros (about the same in US dollars). Even if it is a small bottle it’s still a very affordable price.
Today I have a basic candy pink creme 09 # Lucky to show you. This was almost a one coater but I applied two. The formula was a little thick but easy to apply. At first I actually thought that the second coat might have made it too thick and would take forever to dry. That wasn’t the case. This dried super fast. I wore this manicure for two days. No chipping, just minor tip wear on a couple of nails. Easy removal and no staining.
On this mani I used: 1 coat of Essie First Base, two coats of # Lucky and a coat of HK Girl top coat.
Excuse my different length nails on these photos. I broke a corner off of my middle finger nail and had to file it shorter. After I took these photos I broke my index finger nail and now all my nails are shorter again. Frustrating!

This is beautiful! How does the gel formula compare to their regular formula?
I have actually mostly used the gel formula so I can’t really compare them too well. I’d say these might have a little thicker formula but I don’t know if there is a huge difference really. I have some of the other ones too so I guess I should do a proper comparison some time :)
Love this cute shade! I haven’t tried essence’s gel polish yet. My problem with their pretty polishes (the regular) is that they only last a day or two before chipping or showing wear, and you seemed to have the same experience with the gel. I wish they’d make it last at least a little longer.
My nails are pretty short and the tip wear was only on my right hand index and middle finger nails. So those get a lot of hits during the day. I actually had more tip wear with an O.P.I. polish a few days ago which was surprising. Good thing with these Essence polishes is that it’s really cheap to buy one and test how it works for you :) My nails seem to be very difficult for all the polishes at the moment.
